An Abyss
The deepening liquid moves with life
It surrounds your body and your mind
Weighted down with deceit and shame
Held under without breath in dire refrain
A flash of life replaced by wet
Hope becomes pain when that is all you have left
Struggling against those dragging you down
But they are your own hands attached to a clown
Crying out you struggle in vain
A void of air taken as a lung's pain
Thrashing about you must escape
But you are doomed to death, for this is your fate
